Its that time of the week and what better way to show the Valentine’s day spirit than the love of two companies coming together.

Drawing some inspiration on a rumored joining of Apple TV and Netflix (no it didn’t actually happen), let us suppose we have two media companies that will be merging together. From the infrastructure standpoint, they are fairly similar: you’ve got your shows, custom apps to facilitate the streaming portion, and the database containing the catalog metadata. They both also have their own custom mobile app for watching the streamed content.

Ultimately, they will want to have everything consolidated into a single ecosystem. However there are a few considerations that will need to be factored in.
