Hi everyone!

It is that time for your weekend challenge.

The topic is a pattern near and dear. Some call it re-platforming. Others call it “lift and shift.”

In this acquisition, the company has all of their infrastructure with a single cloud provider. However, they are not the provider you’ve partnered with.

To keep this smallish in scope, lets suppose they are using the cloud provider only for managing their core infrastructure so it is just 3 virtual machines to run the application: one front-end machine that has exposure to the public internet, and two backend machines.

What are your options? What would be the up-front and recurring costs?

Lastly, what assumptions am I making that would need clarification?

Tune in next week!
