In case you missed the New Year email that went out last month, I am planning to resume to Tech Diligence list at least on a weekly basis to rebuild some momentum and provide some additional color to the rapidly changing tech landscape.

In the process of resuming the mailing lists, I’ve been looking at roughly two separate angles. The first is conducting a survey of company leaders outside the IT department at companies that acquired someone else and gauge their experience. While this work is still on-going, I put together a short article geared towards that audience.

The second angle is how the use of AI will factor in to the post-acquisition landscape. Some of this will look at things like code analysis, but also touch on the maintainability aspect as well. To kick this off, I have just published an article re-evaluating the build vs buy debate.

Just to throw it out there, I am still playing with it just like everyone else. I do see the potential, but I also see some of the risks that will need to be mitigated. I will be covering some of these with my future posts so do stay tuned.
