Matane vs. Sayonara
It has been an interesting past 6 months for the newsletter. When I started, it was to highlight the importance of pushing out the research and evaluation of the tech stacks for companies merging or being acquired.
It would be a way to highlight the problem for those making the deals (to help them when they are just about ready to pull the trigger and go public) and provide some tips and tricks for those working on the implementation (post-close integration work). Additionally, there was the desire to have this as a more personal 1:1 platform for interaction that you can kinda get on things like LinkedIn if you are already connected with someone, or the more public comments approach.
What I wasn’t counting on is that I’d need to market the list as much as my company to bring in new subscribers, and honestly I’ve been letting that slide. While you have been great, I know this isn’t quite the target audience for the majority of you on the list.
So I’ll be pausing the list for a while and rethink what this list will become going forward. You will still have the access to the archives, and I promise not to do anything else with your email address.
Once things are ready to resume, I will post here and on the Tech Diligence Site.
This isn’t goodbye (sayonara), but see you next time (matane).
