Following on yesterday’s note, given some of the options for the new tech, there is another consideration to keep in mind as you look at how your team approaches the new tech that would come as a part of the acquisition: culture, budget, and time tables.

With the culture, it could be how your team assimilates new tech. In the acquisition scenarios, it will also include the new people coming on-board to either help with the integration in the short term, or join your company in the longer term. There will be some friction as the teams mesh to flow in a common direction.

This will have a direct impact on your timeframe for getting everything conveyed and integrated. Same with your team learning the new tech coming over with the integration.

This can be shortened by using your budget to bring on experts to help with the transition or augment your team.
