We think of the tech mainly when it comes to the computers we use and the apps that drive our business, but is this really it?

I swung by one of my favorite beer bars over the weekend for a bittersweet event. The owner, whom I had gotten to know over the years, had decided to put her bar up for sale after 10 years. The event was a changing of the guard where it was the last day she would be the owner, and it also doubled as an intro event for the new owners. Luckily they had worked with her for a long time so I’m confident it will be in good hands, and look forward to swinging by whenever I’m in town.

While I’ve been working with much larger companies to absorb the fruits of their acquisition with very complex systems, this was a reminder that owners sell their businesses all the time at a much smaller scale.
